Frequent Questions

What is a care plan?

A care plan is a subscription-based care plan membership that includes your pet’s routine and preventive care for the year. This typically includes things like exams, vaccines, screenings, and other recommended services to keep your pet healthy. Care plans help you stay on top of your pet’s care while making costs predictable and easier to budget.

Is this pet insurance?

No, care plans are not insurance. Our subscription care plans are built to focus on preventive and routine care, while providing a petFSATM for unexpected accidents or illnesses.

How do payments work?

You can choose monthly payments to spread the cost out over the year, or you can pay annually and save 5%. Either way, your pricing stays consistent and predictable, making budgeting easier.

What if my pet needs care that isn’t included in the plan?

Every care plan includes an annual in-hospital credit, our petFSA™, that can be used toward unexpected medical needs or additional services, reducing your out-of-pocket costs.

Can I use the plan at any veterinary hospital?

Our care plans are designed to be used at your specific veterinary hospital. This allows your care team to provide consistent, personalized care and build a long-term relationship with you and your pet.

What happens if I don’t use everything in my plan?

75% of any unused in-hospital credit rolls over year to year, so you never lose its value. Preventive services are scheduled based on your pet’s needs, helping you make the most of your plan throughout the year.

Is a care plan worth it?

If you want predictable costs, easier budgeting, and a simple way to stay on track with preventive care, a care plan is a great choice. It helps you say “yes” to care more often and gives your pet the best chance at a long, healthy life.

Who are care plans best for?

Care plans are great for puppies, kittens, adult pets, and seniors. They’re especially helpful for pet parents who want consistency, affordability, and peace of mind when it comes to their pet’s health.
